這幾年來飲 Burgundy 卻有一份失落感 , Burgundy 其實也有很多土地質素好而又很用心做葡萄酒的人 , 但真心講句很多 Entry level Bourgogne 甚至五六百蚊中級的 Per Cru 飲落卻是又簿又削又難飲。 簡單一點為何總找不到類似 Les Rouliers VDT Henri Bonneau 那樣性價比高的東西?
葡萄酒講求天、地、人 , 既然天與地都得天獨厚 , 何解質素卻很多未能反應在酒質及價錢上? 是明星效應令酒價一向偏高? 是 “強國效應” 及被 “滅絕式” 的掃貨令很多 Wine Makers 及大莊都向快錢看 , 以靠 “食老本” 的心態去經營 , 根本無須花心機去做酒? 雖然很多人仍不斷追捧 Burgundy , 但實際消費用家的評語卻是出現不協調的兩極化 , That’s why Burgundy 是地雷陣就咁解。
在其他世界釀酒地區有些 Wine Maker , 他們旗下不論頂級酒有質素外 , 旗下的二、三線甚至 Entry Level 的葡萄酒都有不俗的表現 , 而最難得的是任何 Level 的出品都感受到 Wine Maker 那份用心及認真 , 真的是平有平好飲 , 貴有貴的精彩 。
早幾年我一直留意德國 Pinot Noir 的發展 , Global Warming 的確對德國 Pinot Noir 成長提供了一個非常有利的條件。 另一樣可貴的是是德國人的認真態度將以往做得不好的 Pinot Noir 重新以回歸基本 Back to Basic 的手法 , 用心地的去做酒 , 真的做到天、地、人的結合 , 而價錢亦開始走向大眾化。 若有人問我飲酒經驗中最美的 Pinot Noir 是那支 , 我會答是一支德國 Pinot Noir !
最近英國 Decanter在云云眾多國家的 Pinot Noir 中選出了德國的 Pinot Noir 為最美麗的 Pinot Noir , 這結果無疑對 Pinot Noir 的聖地 Burgundy 來說是 ”刮了一巴” , 不論你願意接受與否 , 這引證了我的睇法。 點解德國人做得到而法國人做不到呢? 這是否一個 ”龜兔賽跑” 故事的現實版? Burgundy 也是時候作出反省 !!

最近飲了兩支 Weingut Friedrich Becker 的 B Spatburgunder 2012 及 Spatburgunder 2011。 這兩支只是 Weingut Friedrich Becker 的入門級的葡萄酒 , 價錢也只是 2xx 左右。 那種質素真是驚喜萬分亦又一次引證上述所講的一切。今次刻意一返過往的酒評將一切留白 (開個天窗) , 讓讀者自己去試去探索及想像。
葡萄酒不是 “量子物理” “Rocket Science” 。有機耕種、土地元素、天然發酵 ……這一切係人都知。 分別只是有無人肯唔肯 Back to Basic 咁用心去做 , that’s make the difference ! 正如雲吞麵為何不能成為全香港最好吃的東西? 誰能為正邪定分界?
不打算公開在那找到這支酒 , 並不是不想分享 , 而是很清楚當大家見到有啲咁嘢的反應及心態 (不過亦相信資深讀者神通廣大能找到貨源) , 亦更想大家買酒之前停一停想一想 , 若然大家找到了 “世外桃源” 會抱什麼方法及心態去面對它呢? 是設法 “保育” 它 , 還是以”強國” 心態及行徑去“滅絕” 它呢? 當大家鄙視某種行為時 , 自己又有冇咁做先?

我試過一杯半杯 , 感覺上比 Entry level 兩支濃郁、complex 及 powerful , 質素拍得住 Burgundy Grand Cru。 以價錢而論我覺得我 Blog 那兩支堅抵飲。
Hello AM, i hear Pieroth (the exclusive importer) is having trouble keeping the exclusivity. they sell the wines with greedy markup. hommage at 3k hkd, with discount maybe 22xx HKD. i was lucky enough to meet the young becker last year and ended up finishing in bo innovation with Avin leung. I got mine directly from Germany somewhere else at half the price. I hear Loaf on in Sai Kung is revamping big time the wine list and will carry a few selection from becker.
They have an interesting story calling their earlier wine Tafelwein (TABLE WINE) as their vinyard is actually in france across the broder. Germany official VDP only allowed them to call it table wine even for the Hommage. But it seems the geopolitical issue been resolved recently since post 2010.

Perhaps we can do a bulk next time under you own name. I was revising my order this pm and searched becker on.web. found your site and realised I did add comment a.year back . I have res, heydenreich, hommage. consumed all kammerberg and st paul which was value or money. Transport was like 40-50 per btl.
